Sankashti Chaturthi November 2024 :- Lord Ganesha, son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is said as the remover of all obstacles. He is the first to be worshipped, and his blessings remove all hurdles in life. The worship of Vighnaharta Ganesh ensures success in every endeavor.

Ganesh Chaturthi occurs twice in each month: during the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) and the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon). According to ancient texts, the Chaturthi during Krishna Paksha is known as Sankashti Chaturthi, while the one during Shukla Paksha is called Vinayak Chaturthi.

This month, the auspicious Sankashti Chaturthi falls on Monday, November 18, 2024, in the Krishna Paksha of the Margashirsha month. This day is also referred to as Gajanan Sankashti Chaturthi.

Significance of Margashirsha Month

The month preceding Margashirsha is Kartik, beloved by Srimati Radharani and Lord Damodara. Margashirsha, however, holds a unique place, as Lord Krishna himself glorifies it in the Bhagavad Gita.
Performing early morning baths, worshiping Lord Hari, and meditating during Margashirsha purify the soul, freeing one from sins and propelling them toward spiritual enlightenment.

This holy month also marks the observance of the Katyayani Vrat, famously performed by the gopis of Vrindavan to attain Lord Krishna as their beloved. During this month, fasting and devotion elevate one’s spiritual connection, bringing the Lord’s blessings and grace.
